Q: How do I care for my indoor leather
volleyball?
A: Tachikara indoor leather volleyballs should be
stored in a cool dry environment. Your volleyball should not
be exposed to extreme temperatures or outside elements. A
mild soap and water solution is recommended for cleaning.
Q: What is the recommended amount of inflation
for my ball?
A: The recommended inflation (psi) of each Tachikara ball
is marked around its valve area. Be sure to moisten the inflation
needle before inserting it into the valve. You may also want
to refer to the official rule book of the sport for exact
requirements.
Q: How do I know when my ball is fully inflated?
A: We recommend using an inflation gauge to determine the
exact amount of pressure, such as the Tachikara GAUGE available
for purchase on this web site. Do not use a high pressure
compressor like those used at industrial sites and gas stations.
Rather, a small inflator or hand-pump like the models available
from Tachikara will work best.
Q: How can I preserve the leather on my ball?
A: The best thing you can do with a leather ball is use it
to release the natural oils and characteristics of the material.
Comparable to "breaking in" a fine pair shoes. We
do not recommend any topical ointment or creme to preserve
the leather. We do not recommend leather balls for outdoor
play, with the exception of Tachikara's SV5WO stitched leather
volleyball model that was specifically designed for that purpose.
Q: What is composite leather?
A: Composite leather is a man-made material manufactured with
high fiber content to simulate the characteristics and durability
of natural leather.
Q: What type of guarantee do I have on my Tachikara ball?
A: Every Tachikara product is guaranteed against defects in
workmanship and materials when used under normal conditions,
and provided proper care is given to the product. If you have
any questions or concerns, please email us at office@tachikara.com,
or call us toll-free at 1-800-729-8224.
Q: How can I be sure that the ball I purchase is acceptable
for official play?
A: Refer to the official rule book of the sport for a list
of approved products and specifications. Tachikara models
that are "officially endorsed" usually bear a unique
mark for the organization and have also been identified in
the products description on the web page.
Q: What are the dimensions of an outdoor volleyball court?
A: The rectangular playing court is 59' long by 29' 6" wide
for official outdoor play. The height of the net for women
should be 7' 4 1/8", and 7' 11 5/8" for men. Height
should be measured at the center-point of the net.
Q: What is the recommended height of a tetherball pole,
and what is the distance from the top of pole to the ball?
A: Tetherball is considered a "playground activity,"
not an official sport, and therefore is not governed by official
rules for play. The length of the tetherball pole can vary
anywhere between 9' to 10'. The tetherball should be suspended
from the top of the pole so that it hangs between 3' and 4'
from the ground, depending upon the height of players.

code to locate the nearest Tachikara Retailer.
Q: Are quantity discounts offered?
A: No. We encourage you to visit one of our Authorized Dealers
with your special team needs.
