Please allow 24 to 48 hours for order processing. You will receive an Order Confirmation within 15 minutes of submitting your online order and another upon shipment from our warehouse with the carrier's tracking number included.

It is our goal to fulfill your online order promptly and accurately, so we cannot guarantee being able to change to your order once it has been entered into our fulfillment system for processing. Recommended amount of air pressure (PSI) for Tachikara should be marked around the ball's valve core. We highly suggest moistening a standard size inflation needle (1043) with glycerin before inserting it straight into the center of the ball's valve. Be careful to not over-inflate and also have an inflation gauge accessible to accurately measure the PSI in compliance with the Official Rule Book of a specific sport's requirements.

How do I know when my ball is fully inflated?

We recommend using an inflation gauge to determine the exact amount of pressure, such as the Tachikara GAUGE available for purchase online. Please do not use a high pressure air compressor similar to those found at industrial sites or service stations. Rather, we highly recommend using a smaller electric inflator or dual-action hand pump similar to models offered by Tachikara. Refer to the inflation instructions marked around the valve core on most models. Over-inflation can be problematic to the construction and intended performance of a ball, which will void its warranty.

What is composite leather?

Composite leather is a man-made material manufactured with extruded micro-fibers that are layered and interlocked into a substrate that simulates the properties and durability of natural leather.

What are the dimensions of an outdoor volleyball court?

The rectangular playing court is 59' long by 29' 6" wide for official outdoor play. The height of the net for women should be 7' 4 1/8", and 7' 11 5/8" for men. Height should be measured from the center-point of the net to the floor or ground.

How should I store my leather or composite leather volleyball during the off-season?

Tachikara indoor leather, micro-leather, and/or composite leather volleyballs should be stored inside in a temperature controlled environment and should not be exposed to extreme pressure systems, temperature fluctuations or outdoor elements. Balls can be stored inflated or deflated in the off-season. If deflated for storage, when ready to reinflate, hold the valve area firmly between your thumb and index finger and notice the recommended inflation instructions (PSI) marked around the valve core. We highly suggest moistening a standard size inflation needle (1043) with glycerin before inserting it straight into the center of the ball's valve. Please have an inflation gauge nearby to accurately measure the PSI, so as to not over-inflate.

How should I clean and disinfect my ball?

To clean, we recommend wiping the exterior of the ball with a damp cloth using a mixture of water and a mild liquid detergent. To disinfect, you may use a wipe that is known to eliminate 99.9% of germs, viruses, and bacteria that can live on surfaces for up to 48 hours.

How can I preserve the leather on my ball?

The best thing you can do with a leather ball is use it for release of natural oils and properties within the material, comparable to "breaking in" a pair of shoes. We do not recommend applying topical ointments or cremes to preserve our leather, or use leather balls for outdoor play.

Should my new leather volleyball have wrinkles?
A leather ball may potentially have some wrinkles along the surface that will diminish once inflated or competitively played with over time. This is a characteristic of natural leather and will not affect the playability, quality or durability of the ball.

How can I be sure that the ball I purchase is acceptable for official play?

Refer to the Official Rule Book governing a specific sport for a list of approved products and specifications. Tachikara® models that are "Officially" endorsed will bear an authenticating mark of an organization or entity, which should also be identified in the products description on the product's web page.
